About the Role
The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care in a functional medicine clinic setting, including client assessments, IV therapy, treatment support, education, documentation, and collaboration with the clinical team.
A large part of this position involves IV therapy, so the RN must be confident starting and managing IVs, comfortable working with a variety of clients and veins, and committed to creating a calm, safe, and positive IV experience. Strong IV skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow protocols closely are essential for success in this role.
This position plays an important role in ensuring clients receive safe, high-quality, compassionate care throughout their experience at Valley Vital Medicine. Our nurses often spend meaningful time with clients, so we are looking for someone who is clinically confident, emotionally warm, and able to help clients feel comfortable, cared for, and informed.
The RN in this role should be passionate about putting clients first, providing excellent care, educating clients, and supporting a root-cause approach to health and wellness.
Schedule
This is a full-time position working 32 hours per week:
- Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- No weekends | No nights
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to clients in a functional medicine clinic setting
- Administer prescribed treatments and monitor clients for reactions or side effects
- Start, monitor, and manage IV therapies according to clinic protocols
- Record client medical information, symptoms, vital signs, and treatment details accurately
- Monitor, document, and report changes in client condition
- Prepare clients for exams, treatments, IVs, injections, and other services
- Assist providers and other clinical team members with client care
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and healthcare team to implement treatment plans
- Educate clients on health maintenance, wellness support, disease prevention, and treatment instructions
- Conduct specified lab testing and assist with clinical procedures as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Follow HIPAA, confidentiality, infection control, and safety standards
- Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing process improvement
- Support a positive, professional, and client-centered clinic environment
- Help create an experience where clients feel heard, supported, and hopeful
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Experience working as a Registered Nurse in a clinical, hospital, or similar healthcare setting
- IV knowledge, skills, and experience
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality, infection control, and healthcare safety standards
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and team members
- Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and follow established protocols
- Strong manual dexterity, control precision, and arm-hand steadiness
Preferred:
- 3+ years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in a clinical or hospital setting
- Functional medicine, integrative medicine, wellness, or IV therapy experience
- Interest in root-cause medicine, proactive health, and client education
